Expedition in El Paso

Expedition rolls through El Paso on their first rodeo tour in Texas. Words and photos by Hammeke.

We stopped in at Crooks skate shop in El Paso a few hours early to drop off posters and for Spencer Hamilton to set up a freshie.

Since "The Hook" is right around the corner, a quick session there was in order

Then back to Crooks where a long line of devoted fans had already assembled

Newest addition to the team, Tom Remillard, checks out a nude Madonna and leaves his mark on a tour poster

Freshly autographed Madonna sled

Back outside, Nacho keeps the crowd in order

Crooks was packed inside

Spencer Hamilton passes an Expedition deck back to a stoked fan

Bernice was there, of course, and this time she had a gift for Tom

"Check this thing out.  It's got little drawers for your bud, bud."

Chany passing out a signed tour poster

See why they call him Twistthewrist on insta

"Sign my arm"

"Can you make my arm look like your's?"

Straight to the face, by request

Yeah, check that out

Then it was over to Carolina park where a tire jump session was in order

This dog is on high alert

Nacho with a backside 180

Spencer with a steezy kickflip

The tire would trap your board if you didn't make it

Taylor McClung of the McClung brothers takes a backside flip over the tire

Kenny Hoyle nollie front heel

Tom over the hip via front rock

Then it was time for the sticker toss.  Except the wind blew them all over the fence so a sticker handout would have to do

Who wants a board!?

Standard product toss procedure

Who's got a good grip on it?

Looks like it was this guy

Another stoked product toss victor

This guy got his the hard way... by ripping

The guy in the striped shirt.  It was his birthday so for his birthday present he was assigned to pick up Ryan Gallant from the airport.  Looks like he came through with the gift.

Then to close out the demo Kenny Hoyle stuck this nollie flip nose manny just before the lights went out

On the return to the hotel it was past midnight in Boston.  An impromptu premier party for Ryan Gallant's "All Ages" part was hosted by Taylor in the van.  If you have not seen it yet you can check it here.
