I had no idea how greatly seeing Michael J. Fox ride his skateboard in the 1985 film Back To The Future would affect the direction of my life, but looking back, I find it fascinating how much this four-wheeled block of wood has helped shape the person I've become. I've been a skateboarder for well over half my life. It's a fascinating culture and lifestyle--one that continues to evolve yet always sticks to its roots. Over the years, I started taking notice of this and set out to document this amazing phenomenon of skate culture as an insider. Rather than focusing on action photos, I usually take more of a behind the scenes/lifestyle/portrait approach, capturing those quick moments that embrace the essence of skateboarding. There's a range of photographs here--some old, some new--but overall a collection of many great moments and fun people that I've met along the way. Good times for sure.
