Shockus was a true skater to the end, but most importantly, he was our friend. We will miss him dearly and our thoughts go out to his friends and family.

Vert pioneer, Steve Schneer, has died. Inventor of gnar-zone tricks such as one-foot rock and rolls, Ho-Ho plants, Beave airs (no foot frontals), Hessian rolls, and more. The stuntman has moved on to the next life. Salute. —Jake Phelps

Shawn Clark was a lifelong skater who used his earnings from his service in the Marines to open Patriot Skateshop, where yesterday he was taken from us much too early.

As skateboarders we bond together as one true global family. When one of us passes, we all feel the pain. Anyone will tell you that Lewis Marnell was a great person, both on and off his board. We miss him way too much already, but we won't forget.

Reggie Destin was hit by a drunk driver, and is still in a medically-induced coma in critical condition. Reggie's had a huge influence on the skateboard community and could use your help.

Skating, Hawaii, and California have lost a favorite son with the passing of our friend, Jaya Bonderov. He went from Photo-G to the front of the mag, and then continued to give back to 'boarding from behind the lens. "Jaya means victory of the spirit." Never forget.
